The ALC is made up of top-producing agents. They share governance over culture, training, and growth, so every agent's voice reaches leadership.
Who does what, and who to ask.
A Keller Williams office is called a market center, and it is independently owned and operated rather than run from a corporate head office. That structure decides who is accountable for what — so here is the plain version, whether you are buying a house or thinking about hanging your licence here.
Ownership and brokerage
The Operating Principal owns the market center. The Broker of Record and Managing Broker carry the legal responsibility for every transaction that goes through this office — contracts, compliance, disclosure and supervision. If something about your purchase agreement needs a broker’s answer rather than an agent’s, it goes to them.
Growth and agent development
The Team Leader is responsible for recruiting and for the health of the agent roster. Agent development and tech training run the classes, the onboarding and the systems side. This is the part of the office an agent considering a move actually meets first, and it is the part clients never see but benefit from.
Operations and the front desk
The Market Center Administrator handles the money side — commission disbursement, accounting, compliance files. Operations keeps the building and the systems running. Our Directors of First Impressions are the people who answer the phone and open the door in Coon Rapids and Blaine, and they are usually the fastest route to whoever you actually need.
The Associate Leadership Council
The ALC is elected from the agent roster, not appointed by leadership. Its members hold seats over culture, growth, career development and agent advocacy, and they sit in on decisions about how the office is run. It is the mechanism that stops a market center becoming something done to its agents rather than with them.
Before you call.
Who is the broker at Keller Williams Classic Realty?
Lonn Boles is our Broker of Record and Gale Haisley is our Managing Broker. Between them they supervise the transactions written out of both our Coon Rapids and Blaine offices. If you have a question an agent cannot answer — a contract term, a disclosure obligation, a complaint — it belongs with them.
What is the difference between the broker and the team leader?
The broker is legally responsible for the transactions this office writes. The team leader is responsible for the agents — recruiting, development and the day-to-day running of the roster. Clients almost always deal with an agent, occasionally with a broker, and rarely with a team leader.
Are the agents here employees of Keller Williams?
No. Real estate agents are independent contractors who hang their licence with a brokerage. Keller Williams Classic Realty is independently owned and operated as a market center, so the agents you work with run their own businesses under our brokerage and our supervision.
Can I ask for a specific agent?
Yes, and you should if you have someone in mind. If you do not, call the front desk at (763) 746-4900 and describe what you are trying to do — the area, the price range, the timeline — and we will point you at someone who actually works that market rather than whoever is next on a list.
What is an Associate Leadership Council?
It is a group of agents, elected by the agents, that shares governance of the office with leadership. ALC members hold seats over areas like culture, growth and career development. It is a standard part of the Keller Williams model and it is the reason agents here have a route into decisions rather than just an opinion about them.
